The lives of the Beatles are traced, year-by-year and month-by-month, from 1940 to the end of 1963, when Beatlemania ruled Europe and they stood on the eve of their American debut. Written by Todd Loren, a controversial publisher in the 1980s; art by Mike Sagara. Backup feature on Chuck Berry by Loren and artist Lyndal Ferguson. Includes an open letter from Loren to the surviving Beatles, begging them not to sue him for this unauthorized bio, and notice of a 1991 protest against Columbia Records for blocking Lorens past publications. Front and back covers by Scott Jackson. Black and white; 32 pages.
